1.Program ECU by special diagnostic device.

Different brand need use different original/clone special diagnostic device to do ECU programming.Such as Volkswagen special tool,5054A,VCDS,BMW ICOM,JLR SDD,Toyota TIS Techstream….

And there are some OEM diagnostic tool can do some brand ECU programming function,such as Autel 908,808,X300DP…But the the professional original factory tool can run stability.

 

2.Use ECU programmer to clone ECU

Second method you can use ECU programmer(with ECU clone function) to read out the original ECU data from original ECU,and then write the data into new/used ECU.

Note:It does require other programming operation,but make sure the original ECU is able to communicate with ECU programmer.

3.Replace with used ECU (change VIN and disable IMMO)

The 3th method is apply for the situation you do not have original factory diagnostic tool and the original ECU was damaged (can not read out ECU data).Now this option is a better choice,you need get same model ECU,then disable the immobilizer function and change the VIN to original ECU.After then install this ECU back on car,it can work.
