Dodge Joruney 2009 Body Control System Tire Replacement Programming

This article show a function test on how to use Launch X431 perform body control system tire programming after replacement.

 

How to use Launch X431

 

Procedures:

Built connect between Launch X431 and your Dodge,and then power on X431 device.

Enter menu to select “Dodge v31.00”

Select 16-PINI Connector

Select “Manually Select”

Select “Dodge”

Select “2009(VIN 10th)”è”Journey”

Select “Body Control Module/TIPMCGW/FCMCGW”

Choose “Special Function”

Select “Program Tire Size”

Then it will show the massage as below:

“This function is used to update the tire circumference value stored in the tipm after changing the size of the tires on the vehicle.To restore the tire circumference to its original factory programmed value based on the sales code.Please run restore vehicle configuration function”

Corresponds to P245/70R17 Tire

Check the current tire,select “ok”

The currently programmed circumference value is 2377 mm.To change it,please select from the list of tire below.Or click cancel if done.

Select the correct menu according to the replaced tire select “FS Transforce HT LT245/70R17E A/S”

Tire size has been changed successfully,click “OK” to continue.

“ATTENTION:Please cycle the ignition for a minimum of 30 seconds and clear any DTCs that might have benn set during the procedure.If ABS is displaying vehicle conofiguratio Mismatch DTC,please run the ABS initialization Misc function”.
