This instruction show the procedures on how to use G-Scan 2 to reset oil service counter for Jaguar XF 3L diesel engine.And for more G-Scan 2 test report,please check it here:G-scan2 test projects.
Procedures:
Connect G-Scan 2 diagnostic tool to Jaguar XF OBD port,enter menu to select [DIAGNOSIS]
Select [JAGUAR]–>[XF]–>[2010-2011]
Select [PCM (Powertrain Control Module)]–>[Diesel],then click [OK] to continue
Select [Special Function]
Select [Oil Service Counter Reset]
This function will reset oil service counter.It need to be used when a vehicle has been serviced.
Condition:the engine stop
Battery voltage should be grater than 12.5V
Then click [OK] to continue
Stop the engine,click [OK] to continue
The ignition switch to ON (position 2)
Function is in course of preparation

Oil Dilution Reset
This function is required when engine oil is changed,the function resets the value of oil mass due to oil dilution
