How to Repair Benz SOUND 5 HA1111 Radio “PROD” Error

This instruction show you guide on how to solve Mercedes Benz SOUND 5 HA1111 radio “PROD” error.If your radio get this error,it always just run about 15 second,then radio show you with the “PROD” error.

 

Procedures:

Remove SOUND 5 HA1111 radio on vehicle

 

Disassemble the radio to remove PCB

 

Locate 24C256B eprom

Here in 24C256B eprom is PROD,you just need to remove the eprom to get PROD OFF.

The radio can work normally even without this eeprom.

Remove 24C256B from PCB

And now we can test radio

Power on the radio,and the PROD error disappear,it can work correctly.
