The procedure outlined below describes how to reset the angle calibration of the chassis angle sensor and mast angle sensor on the JCB Pilemaster machine. This process does not require any additional tooling or diagnostics equipment and is carried out through the rear display service menu.

Angle Sensor Calibration Reset Procedure
1 Ensure that all of the emergency stop buttons are ‘out’ and have not been pressed.
2 Turn the machine’s ignition ON.
3 Ensure the rear display is ON and wait for the drill information screen to show.
Note: if the rear display does not switch ON, re-check the emergency stop buttons.
4 Press and hold both the F1 and F2 buttons. Wait 5 seconds and then press the OK button whilst still holding down the F1 and F2 buttons.
5 The display should now show the service menu.
6 Use the UP and DOWN arrows to select “clear angle calibration” and press the OK button. The display will show the reset angle calibration screen.
7 Press F2 to reset the angle calibration of the sensors. Pressing F3 will abort the process.
8 Once the angle calibration has been reset (or aborted), the display will return to the service menu.
9 Use the UP and DOWN arrows to select “exit” and press the OK button. The display will return to the drill information screen.
