How to Restore Headlights Permanently with a Simple Process on Benz
Procedures:
Use 800 grit sandpaper and water sanding in circular motions.
A lot of people do it is they sand off the protective clear coat and they don’t replace it. If you don’t replace the cap on top, the head layer will just fog up and mist up again.
Clean off the residue, then use 2,000 grit sandpaper sand it. It’s important to clean this off because the 2,000 grit as a finer sandpaper and we don’t want the residue from the headlight get non 2,000 sandpaper. We don’t want to rub hard,we need more skim over the surface and almost as if we’re buffing the surface of the headlight with the sandpaper.
Use garish bags and masking tape to mask it off really well.
If you have a good a panel wipe or rubbing alcohol, you can give the headlight a good rub to make sure removes any grease or oil that may be on the headlight.
The next step is use the clear coat. This one’s got UV protect and it’s non- yellowing which is very important. Shake can very well and we’re all clear coats on really on the aerosol paint, you should be using a mask.
Start off with a really light coat, after five minutes, we’re going to build up to a heavier coat.
Let that dry for about 30 minutes and then remove all the masks
