Here is a short demonstration of SAS calibration on 2017 Mercedes Benz Maybach. If you want to know more about G-Scan function, please refer to G-Scan test cases.
Replace Electronic Steering Assembly.
Procedures:
Connect G-Scan 3 tool to Benz Maybach, then select “Service Function”
Select “STEERING ANGLE SENSOR CALIBRATION”
Select “MERCEDES BENZ”–>”AUTOMATIC SELECTION”
Confirm information then tap “OK”
Select “Chassis”
Select “ES-Electrical power steering” then tap “OK”
Select “Reset learned values”
Always read the description carefully, then tap “OK”
You need to drive the vehicle at least 5km/h and turn the steering wheel to the full left and right until the status changes to “TAUGHT IN”, tap “OK”
Drive the vehicle at 5km/h and turn the steering wheel to the left until the status changes to “TAUGHT IN”
Then turn the steering wheel to the right until the status changes to “TAUGHT IN”
Press “OK” to exit the function.
Select “DTC analysis” to check for any possible trouble codes.
Function has been completed successfully.
