Transmission Control Module (TCM) Replacement

The Transmission Control Module (TCM) (TCM Connector B-228) is located on the front crossmember in the left front corner of the frame area.

 

Removal Procedure

1 Remove the 3 nuts and bolts (2) securing the TCM cover (1) to the frame.

2 Unthread bolt securing the TCM harness connector B-228 to the TCM and remove the connector.

3 Remove the bolts (1) securing the TCM to the frame and remove the TCM.

 

Installation Procedure

1 Install the TCM with the 3 bolts (1) to the frame.

Tighten the TCM bolt to 10 N·m (7.3 lb·ft)

2 Connect the TCM harness connector B-228 and tighten the connector bolt.
Tighten the electrical connector bolt to 2 N-m (17 lb in).

3 Install the TCM cover (1) with the 3 bolts (2) to the frame.
