Procedures:

ATA 131

Combustion air fan motor

Error identification

The auxiliary heater does not start.

 

Cause

Interruption in the combustion air fan motor circuit.

 

Notes

Important! 18 V combustion air fan motor! The combustion air fan motor must not be connected directly to + 24 V.

 

Action

Check the combustion air fan motor. See the Internal electrical diagram under Connections. Measurement points 1 and 2 in harness-to-harness connector A for the control unit.

 

Resistance:

Approximately 4 ohms.

If necessary, renew the control unit.

 

ATA 132

Combustion air fan motor

Error identification

The auxiliary heater does not start.

 

Cause

Short circuit in the combustion air fan motor circuit.

 

Notes

Important! 18 V combustion air fan motor! The combustion air fan motor must not be connected directly to + 24 V.

 

Action

Check the combustion air fan motor. See the Internal wiring diagram under Connections. Measurement points 1 and 2 in connector A for the control unit.

 

Resistance:

Approximately 4 ohms.

 

ATA 133

Error identification

The fan wheel for the combustion air fan motor is not moving.

 

Cause

The fan wheel is blocked, the fan wheel is turning too quickly, or the magnet is missing from the fan wheel.

 

Notes

Action

Check that the magnet is on the fan wheel.

Check that the fan wheel is not jammed.

Check the combustion air fan motor. See the Internal electrical diagram under Connections. Measurement points 1 and 2 in harness-to-harness connector A for the control unit.

 

Resistance:

Approximately 4 ohms.

If necessary, renew the control unit.

 

ATA 134

Error identification

Short circuit or overloading on the auxiliary heater combustion air fan motor.

 

Cause

Electrical or mechanical fault in the auxiliary heater combustion air fan motor. Voltage supplied too high or fault on the control unit.

 

Notes

Important! If the voltage exceeds 18 V, there is a risk that the heater will be damaged.

 

Action

Check the auxiliary heater cable harness for signs of short circuits.

Check the function and condition of the auxiliary heater combustion air fan motor.

Check the control unit.
