Volvo XC90 New Key Programming by Autel IM508

This instruction show you guide on how to program a new key for Volvo XC90 by Autel IM508 programmer.More key programming for Volvo,please refer to:Volvo Key Programming

 

Device Used:

Autel IM508 Programmer

Volvo ID 48 Chip

 

Procedures:

Remove CEM from Volvo XC90

CEM is located below dashboard

Note:before remove CEM,pls disconnect battery terminal

Remove cover of CEM to find 93C86 EEPROM chip

Remove 93C86 EEPROM chip from PCB

Install 93C86 chip on adapter clip cable

Run Autel IM508 Programmer,then select “Programmer”

Select “Write key via dump”

Select “Europe”–>”Volvo”–>”XC90”–>”2004-93C86”

 

Press “One-tough Processing”–>”Save the read file”

Save the file that you read from 93C86 chip

Then select any key position

Then put a ID 48 transponder into APA001 adapter of Autel IM508 programmer

Back to screen to press “Make Key”

Click “Yes” to save the newly generated file

Now it show “The operation is complete and the key is ready for use”

And now key information show IM508 show the key position you selected before show “Used”

Solder 93C86 EEPROM chip back to PCB,then install CEM back on Volvo XC90

 

Start Volvo XC90 engine by put ID48 chip programmed just now

Done!
